NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 3, 2013--The One Way Experience brings together the groundbreaking voices of the Jesus Movement for two inspirational nights of music May 18-19 at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., followed by a national 36-city tour. With a combined total of 230 albums, 13 Grammy® Awards, and numerous Dove Awards, these legendary musicians - Andraé Crouch, Chuck Girard, Evie, Michael Omartian, Randy Stonehill, and The Archers - will unite onstage for the first time for an incredible and moving performance, to be captured live for TV and DVD. The One Way Experience is the vision of the One Way Entertainment Group comprised of music industry veterans and managing partners, Omartian, Don Somerville, and Bobby Blazier.

Forty years after Explo '72-the revolutionary gathering of over 100,000 Christians in Dallas in the summer of 1972-it is the goal of One Way Entertainment Group to create awareness, pay tribute, and embrace the music of the groundbreaking contemporary artists that launched this movement-a movement that's still in motion.

The One Way Experience is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the renowned musicians who launched the revolutionary Jesus Movement, forever changing the church and its song with its radical departure from the traditional Christian sound. A spiritual medley of story and song, The One Way Experience concert will embrace, pay tribute to, and rekindle an awareness of the innovative artists who spearheaded this incredible movement.

"It's not just about the music," explained Omartian, One Way Entertainment Group partner, featured artist and music director of The One Way Experience. "It's about what happened to the artists through the music." Omartian and his fellow artists hope to reconnect people across America to a passion for their faith, a passion that can change the world, as much or more than when the movement first began.

During the tumultuous, drug-laced years of the late 1960s and early 1970s, these pioneers of contemporary Christian music lit a spark in the hearts of a rebellious, disillusioned generation by taking the message of Jesus Christ and merging it with the sound of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. "The music didn't change, but the message did," said Girard, founding member of the Christian group, Love Song. "We were rock 'n rollers, and we didn't see any reason to change our music."

The reaction to their music was immediate and profound. "'Wow! Are they singing about Jesus?!'" recounts Steve Archer, member of the Grammy-wining trio, The Archers. "We were jamming away on the guitar and the drums and the bass with long hair, and it just caught people off guard."

"We were putting the Word in the faces of people that had never heard it," said Crouch, one of Christian music's most revered songwriters and artists.

"I think music has been the deeper, more powerful voice of the human spirit," said Stonehill. "Beyond the music and beyond the artists, the most precious thing I believe will transpire is what God will be speaking into people's hearts."

Almost 40 years later, The One Way Experience still carries with it the invigorated relevance and spiritual impact of the original Jesus Movement with its fresh and accessible sound. "The songs are going to rekindle a pilot light in many of our hearts," says Evie Tornquist Karlsson, Christian music's first singing superstar. "That's what our prayer is. We'll touch something that happened in our hearts years ago, and it won't stay there. It will move forward. The reality of Christ is for today."
